Christina Grimmie, gone to soon

I don’t think many of you know this but up until last year I worked for the Bizart Magazine. My role was to talk about an album each month. About two years ago, I chose to write about With Love by Christina Grimmie. She had impressed me, first because of her talent, but also because she was a self-made artist. The world found out about her thanks to her many covers on YouTube but it was really thanks to The Voice USA that the spotlight was finally on her. Adam Levine made her his protégée and together they covered Somebody That I Used To Know. The young singer also had the pleasure to sing All of the Stars with Ed Sheeran. Christina made it to the finale, which she did not win. However, she had  gained more fans and The Voice enabled her to play more and more shows.

Christina Grimmie, 22 year-old, was living her dream when her life was taken away from her. She was signing authographs when a men shot her. Her brother tackled the man who ended up shooting himslef (suicide or accident?). The singer did not die right away and fought until the end. Unfortunately, her injuries were too grave and we won’t ever get the chance to hear her live ever again.

In her honnor, I wanted to ask you one simple thing: listen to her songs. Live her dream a little longer. You can easily found the album on line and it will put a smile on your face. I promise.

Finally, I’ll just add that I hope this tragedy will get some people in the USA to re-think their laws. This is 2016 and it is time for people to understand. A country like the USA should not still be held hostage by a minotiry of poeple who only think about their own asses and forget the innocent victims of accidents, mass-shootings and, yes, slaughters. These peole should be ashamed of themselves and I really hope Christina’s death will make a difference.

Wherever she is, I only hope for one thing: that she is able to hear her songs playing in our homes. This man might have ended her life but he won’t get her dream.
